Add Billing Contact for ShareFile Account

ShareFile billing contacts can view and modify billing information for the account. This permission also authorizes the user to contact ShareFile Support for billing assistance. You can add a new user as a billing contact, or update permissions for existing Employee User and make them a billing contact.

Note:

You cannot change the billing contact directly in Account Settings. To request a billing contact update, contact our Customer Service team. You must have Admin Billing permissions or be a Master Admin to submit the request.

Add a New User as Billing Contact

The first step to add a new billing contact is to add the user as an Employee User.

  1. Create an Employee user to add a new billing contact.
  2. After adding the new user, proceed to Add an Existing Employee User as ShareFile Billing Contact section to give them billing permissions.

  1. From the left pane, click People. This People menu is expanded.
  2. Click Browse Employees.
  3. Browse or search for your user. Click the user or the Manage (gear) icon on the right, to open the user profile.
  4. Under Employee User Settings, click User Access to expand the menu.
  5. Under Billing, select the required permissions. The following permissions are available:
    • View/edit billing information
    • Request plan changes
    • View receipts and billing notifications
  6. Click Save Changes.
