Reset Multi-Factor authentication
ShareFile’s Multi-Factor authentication (MFA) utilizes additional factors like an authenticator app, text message or voice calls in addition to the ShareFile password to provide an extra layer of security when logging into your ShareFile account.
Note:
Some apps require an application-specific password that you must generate before you can sign in to the app.
Requirements

Multi-factor authentication is available to both client and employee users.

Administrators with the Manage employees permission can reset multi-factor authentication for all users except the account owner.
Instructions for administrators with ‘Manage employees’ permissions

Navigate to People > Browse Employees or Browse client contacts.

Select the employee user that requires a reset.

Under Actions, select Reset multi-factor authentication.
A confirmation message displays.

Select Reset.

After an administrator resets your multi-factor authentication, you must configure a new authentication method the next time you sign in.

Sign in to your ShareFile account with your username and password.
A message displays indicating that your multi-factor authentication was reset and prompts you to configure a new authentication method.

To set up a phone number for text-message verification, select your country, enter your phone number, and select Text message (SMS).

Select Continue.

Enter the verification code you receive.

Complete the setup to finish signing in.
Note:
You must complete MFA setup before you can access your account. To add an authenticator app, you might first need to complete the initial sign-in with SMS verification.
Reset the account owner's primary phone number
If the account owner needs to reset their primary phone number, contact ShareFile Support for assistance.
