Comment Related Notifications
Comment‑related notifications ensure that project teams never miss important conversations, follow‑ups, or clarifications added across different parts of a project. Since comments often include critical guidance, feedback, or next steps, timely alerts help users stay aligned and maintain smooth collaboration. By receiving consolidated digest emails or real‑time updates (for clients), users always stay informed without being overwhelmed by separate alerts for a more simplified interaction flow.
ShareFile Projects consolidate all comment notifications made for any resource in a project into digest notifications which are sent to the corresponding users. Digest notifications help prevent notification overload by combining multiple comments into a single notification instead of sending a separate email for every comment.
All comments made are consolidated into one digest notification. Based on the type of comment made, the users receive notification as follows:
- A comment is made on a project resource without mentioning a specific user: Users who are a part of the resource receive a notification with a 5-minute digest.
- A comment is made on a project resource with mentions to a user: The mentioned users receive an instant (real-time) notification (with no digest) while other users on the resource receive a 5-minute digest notification as normal.
