Log Locations for ShareFile Applications

Apps with log submission capabilities

The following applications have built in capabilities to submit logs:

Tools with unsupported log submission capabilities

The following tools do not have built in capabilities to submit logs:

  • Storage Zone Controller (SZC)
  • User Management Tool (UMT)

If you’re unable to access the Help menu to submit your logs, you can manually collect them here:

Storage Zone Controller (SZC)

  • Path for SZCv5 C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ShareFile\StorageCenter\SC\logs
  • Path for SZCv6 C:\ProgramData\ShareFile\StorageCenter\logs
    • Note: If path for v5 log is not removed, this path needs to be labeled as logs path for SZC v6
  • IIS logs C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1

User Management Tool (UMT)

  • C:\ProgramData\Citrix\ShareFile\User Management Tool (Grab the umt.log file / and the .results file in the “Results” folder)
  • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\ShareFile\UMT\Logs
  • C:\ProgramData\Citrix\ShareFile\User Management Tool\Jobs
