Using the new Color Picker in Podio

We have introduced an updated color picker that provides more preset colors, support for custom HEX/RGB values, and a refreshed default color. This update helps improve visual organization and allows greater flexibility when customizing apps.

The new color picker appears anywhere you can assign colors, including Calendar Events, Category fields and Section Separators.

What’s New

Expanded Preset Colors

Increased from 16 to 20 preset colors
Includes 4 new colors from the Progress brand palette

Support for Custom HEX and RGB Colors

You can now choose custom colors using HEX color values or RGB values. Custom colors are useful for matching organizational brand colors and creating custom workflows or status systems.

New color selections now default to the neutral light blue color: #B8D0F5.

Impact on Existing Colors

Podio retains existing category colors. However, some colors may show minor shade variations due to the updated color system. You can reselect any color manually if you prefer a different shade.
