Restricting users access from specific IP Ranges or Addresses

Use the following information to restrict the ability of employee or client users to access a ShareFile account from specific IP ranges or addresses.

Instructions

Administrators of a ShareFile account can restrict access to the account by either granting or denying permission to certain IP addresses or IP ranges. This can be done for either all employees, all clients, or both. Selective restrictions for only certain employees or clients is not available.

Note:

There is a maximum limit of 1,000 IP ranges.

In order to setup these IP restrictions it is required to contact ShareFile Technical Support.

Please include the following information when submitting a ticket:

  • The IP addresses or ranges.

  • Whether or not you wish to grant or restrict access from those addresses.

  • If the restriction should apply to employees, clients, or both.
