The AI-powered Document Summarization feature allows you to transform lengthy documents into concise insights with a single click. With precise summaries that highlight key points and their sources, you can save hours of reading time and navigate complex information effortlessly. This feature is available as a beta release with access limited to ShareFile Premium, VDR, and Industry Advantage customers. Steps to Summarize a Document using AI
Accessing the Feature and Generating a Summary

Navigate to the document you want to summarize in your ShareFile account.

Select on the Summarize with AI button.
AI starts to analyze the document.

The summary will appear in a dedicated panel, displaying:
- Key points from the document
- Source citations
Interacting with the Summary

Copy Summary: Use the “Copy” button to copy the summary to the clipboard to easily share or save the summary.

View Sources: Click on the citations to view the original text in the document.

Submit Feedback: Click on the Like or Dislike buttons to submit your feedback on the feature.

Regenerate summary: Use the “Try again” button to generate a different version of the summary.
Disabling the Document Summarization
If an administrator chooses to disable the AI-powered document summarization feature, they can do so from Settings > Admin Settings > Advanced Preferences > AI Settings > Document Summarization.

The AI-powered Document Summarization feature is disabled by default for HIPAA customers.
