Assign permissions to subfolders in bulk

The main objective of this article is to show how to add permissions to subfolders in bulk. This is to facilitate the initial configuration of folders and the addition of a new user to a big folder structure.

Scenario #1 - User needs to be added to a folder that is already created

  1. Navigate to Folders > Shared Folders > Open the root folder where the user will be added.
  2. Switch to People and then Add people to folder.
  3. After choosing the desired permissions, make sure that the Apply settings to subfolders option is checked, then click Add. Permission Subfolder 1

Scenario #2 - User is already added to the folder and user needs an additional permission

  1. Navigate to Folders > Shared Folders > Open the root folder where the user will be added.
  2. Switch to People. Select the desired permission and make sure that the Apply permissions to subfolders is marked, then click Save. Permission Subfolder 2
