How to update due date
When to use
Users can select this option when project timelines shift — for example, if tasks are delayed, client submissions are pending, or new resources are added, you can update due date.
How it works
- The Resource Owner or Project Admin can change the due date from the project header or settings panel.
- Once updated, the new due date automatically updates all resource-level reminders (for Document Requests, Information Requests, and Tasks) linked to the project timeline.
- Users assigned to those resources will receive updated reminder notifications based on the new schedule.
Key notes:
Only Owners or Admins can change project due dates.
Due date changes are logged in the project activity feed for visibility.
Updating the due date does not automatically mark overdue items as complete.
Project Closed Behaviour
When to use it
When all work, requests, and approvals in a project are complete, you can close the project to prevent further edits or uploads.
What happens when a project is closed
- The project moves to a read-only state.
- All resources — document requests, information requests, tasks, tables, and files — become non-editable.
- Users can still view content and download files but cannot add comments or upload new items.
- Clients lose the ability to respond to any pending requests.
Who can close a project
Only the owner can close or reopen a project.
Key notes:
Closed projects remain accessible in the project list under a “Closed” filter.
Projects can be reopened at any time if further action or edits are required. This can only be done by the project owner.
Closing a project does not delete any content or associated resources.
