Set up social sign-in as a client
With social sign in functionality, users can use their existing social accounts, such as Google and Microsoft (AppleID coming soon), to authenticate into a ShareFile account.
NOTE:
Social sign in must be enabled by a ShareFile administrator. End-user configuration is available only if social sign-in functionality is enabled at the ShareFile account level.
End User Configuration
Enable social sign in while activating your ShareFile user
New client users can either create a ShareFile password or sign in with a social sign-in provider.
New clients can use the following steps to sign in with their social account after receiving the activation email.

Open the email and select Activate Account.

When the ShareFile Welcome screen displays, select Continue.

Select Sign in with Google to link your social account with ShareFile.

Select your social account to link.

The Account linked confirmation screen displays.

Select Continue to ShareFile to open your client dashboard.

Enable social sign in from Settings after sign in
Client users, who did not select social sign in when they first received their activation email, can easily set it up using the following instructions.

From the client dashboard, select Settings from the user initial drop-down in the upper left corner.

The Settings page displays.

Under Sign in options, select Configure social sign in.

From the Configure social sign in page, select either Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft

Select your social account to link.

Delete or disable your social sign in link under Personal Settings
Client users can remove the social sign in using the following steps.

From the client dashboard, select Settings from the user initial drop-down in the upper left corner.

The Settings page displays.

In the Sign in options section, click Delete next to the the social sign in method you want to remove.

Unable to link account - Error message
If the social sign in email address a client user attempts to link is already associated with another user on the account, an error message displays.

The client user should contact their account’s administrator who can assist them.
