Article applies to:
- ShareFile Employee users
As your client hub grows, enhanced search and filtering capabilities help you find and manage client records more efficiently. Use search and filters to:
- Quickly find specific client individuals or companies.
- Manage large client lists more efficiently.
- Identify clients based on business-specific criteria.
Search and filter options are available on the All clients, Individuals and Companies pages in client hub.

Find clients
Use the search bar to find clients by:
- First name
- Last name
- Company name
- Client ID (if configured)
- Custom attributes
The client list updates automatically to show matching records, helping you quickly find the client(s) you need.

Filter client records
Use filters to narrow the list of clients displayed in the client hub.
Available filters include:
-
My clients - View clients for which you're part of the assigned team.

-
Client type - Filter by Individual or Company.
-
Client contacts - Search for clients by contact name or email address.

Filter by custom fields
If custom fields are configured by your ShareFile administrator, you can use them to refine your search results. Only custom fields configured as dropdown lists can be used for filtering.
Custom field filters help you identify and work with specific groups of clients based on criteria that matter to your business.

You can filter clients (Individuals or Companies) custom field values defined by your organization. As an example:
-
Industry
-
Type of work
-
Service type
-
Client status
-
Revenue range
-
Client status
NOTE:
The fields shown above are provided for illustration purposes only and are not predefined. The fields displayed in your organization may differ.

You can combine multiple filters to create targeted client lists. For example, you can view:
- Active technology clients
- Clients receiving a specific service
- Clients matching multiple business criteria
After narrowing your results select a client record to view client information.
