Delete Employee users in bulk

The following steps will help the user delete multiple employee users in bulk.Requirements to Delete Employee users:

  • Manage Employee users permissions

There are no website options to delete multiple Employee users in bulk or at once. Please reference the ShareFile API for additional options to delete users. Delete User API

https://account.sf-api.com/sf/v3/Users(id)?completely=false&itemsReassignTo=id&groupsReassignTo=id

  • Choose completely = true to Delete From the System(permanent deletion).
  • Choose completely = false to Disable Users (users cannot login but account will remain with no changes).
  • Choose itemsReassignTo=id to specify the user ID to obtain ownership of the employee’s folders and files.
  • Choose groupsReassignTo=id to specify the user ID to obtain ownership of the employee’s distribution groups.

Note:

If completely=true, please use itemsReassignTo=id to reassign the users’ files and folders. If folders and files are not reassigned, any data previously owned by those users will be permanently deleted.
