Add File Upload Request to Your Email Signature

This article assists you with Requesting Files by getting a link in the ShareFile web app. You can add this secure link to your email signature in Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, or any other email software. By adding an upload link to your email signature, you allow your recipients to securely transfer a file back to your account / specified folder at any time.

This link can be hyperlinked in your email software for customization.

  1. From within the Shortcut view, select Request Files.

  2. From the Request files window, you can:

    • Select Get a link to generate a link and copy to your clipboard:

      File upload Request 3 Once the link is generated, you can edit link options to choose who can access this link and when the access expires: File upload Request 4 The notify me when files are uploaded checkbox is selected by default.

    • Edit the location that requested files will be uploaded to. By default, they will be uploaded to the File Box. If you would like to change the upload location, click Edit and select the folder from the tree view. Then, select Done.

  3. Once you have your link copied, you are ready to edit your email signature.
