ShareFile Tasks is a centralized workspace for viewing and managing work items across projects in a single view.

In Tasks, a task refers to any work item that requires action. Request Lists, Forms, and Signatures are considered task types; however, the Tasks workspace currently supports Request Lists and Forms only. From the Tasks workspace, you can create standalone Request Lists or Forms directly, without associating them with a project.

By consolidating task-related functionality into one intuitive interface, Tasks simplifies task management, improves discoverability, and provides clear visibility into task ownership, status, and due dates—helping drive higher completion rates and a more efficient user experience.

Task Workspace Limitations

Some capabilities may vary by rollout stage and account configuration:

Standalone tasks cannot be moved into an existing project. If a task is meant to be within a project, please choose a project during task creation.
Standalone tasks do not support multiple storage zones. Accounts that use multiple storage zones must select a project.
Performance and first-time usability improvements in high-volume task views.
Signatures are not currently supported in Tasks.
To-dos are not currently supported in Tasks.
